I’ve dedicated my professional life to fighting for New Yorkers like you and working to improve our legal system and strengthening our courts.  I’m running for Civil Court Judge to help ensure that all New Yorkers get the fair and compassionate justice they need and deserve. 

As a Civil Court Judge, I’ll dispense justice with fairness, compassion, and integrity.

I was born and raised in Queens to a teacher and an accountant and am the grandson of an Irish

immigrant.  For a good part of my childhood, I grew up in what we might call an “Archie Bunker

neighborhood,” but I was fortunate to attend Regis High School on the Upper East Side, the

Foreign Service School at Georgetown University, where I graduated with honors, and Fordham

Law School.

I’m a member of the NYC Bar Association, the New York County Lawyers Association, the

LGBT Bar Association, the Irish American Bar Association of New York, and the Columbian

Lawyers Association.

In addition to my years of experience as a lawyer, I’ve long been active in our community. For

more than 20 years I’ve volunteered to help homeless people get control of their lives. I’ve

worked overnight in shelters to better understand them, to talk with them, and to work with them. It’s hard work to help homeless men and women and especially abandoned LGBT youth (a large

segment of our homeless population), to overcome emotional barriers and societal pressures to

achieve dignity and independence and to live full, happy lives. It’s also a helpful reminder that

many of the litigants in the Civil Court don’t have all the advantages that other litigants might

have. A judge must do equal justice for all.

As you can see in the following CV, I have the legal experience and qualifications that will allow

me to serve our City as your next Civil Court Judge.

The Democratic Primary is on June 24, 2025. Early Voting starts on June 14, 2025. I hope you’ll
